MEET THE CO-FOUNDERS
Kendra “Jeanie” Carter
Kendra || “Jeanie” is a creative producer, singer-songwriter, dancer, and big idea machine who believes great entertainment starts with intentional creation ✨
As Co-Founder, CEO, and Artistic Director of Vita Nova Entertainment, she helps shape the org’s vision while working with an incredible team of artists, technicians, volunteers, community partners, and a bad ass Board of Directors. Whether she’s pitching a new idea, leading a creative team, marketing an event, or building local partnerships, Jean’s is passionate about bringing folks together to orchestrate unforgettable community experiences. She believes healthy performance culture is built on trust, consideration, constructive feedback, and a space where everyone feels valued both on and off the stage. Her priority is to make Vita Nova a place where every collaborator feels supported, encouraged, understood, and proud of the work they create. She hopes every artist leaves not only with a memorable performance, but with lasting friendships, renewed confidence, uncapped inspiration, and a sense of belonging.
When she isn’t creating the next show, you’ll usually find her writing music, collecting new hobbies, reading memoirs about bad bitches, attending an ungodly amount of live performances, or impulsively traveling anywhere she’s never been 🚀
Co-Founder, CEO, & Artistic Director | She/Her
Chriscielle Birr
Serving as a CEO and Managing Director, most of their duties involve handling the back end of the business, organizing budgets and time management. On the front end, they’re also a creative director, choreographer, and peer; advocating for the voices of artists and helping them reach their potential in a supportive space that recognizes and considers their unique needs. Specializing in analysis of both data and people, Scielle uses that experience to maximize efficiency while still bringing a compassionate approach to leadership. Their focus is on more organization tasks for the team and creating an inclusive and accessible environment for artists to explore their artistry in various ways.
Scielle has been passionate about the arts since childhood. This passion followed them into adulthood, manifesting in college plays and musicals to now being the Co-CEO of Vita Nova. Through these experiences, they have gained recognition for their ability to be a grounding presence in high stress situations and providing a space where their peers can comfortably communicate any blockages they may face in their creative processes.
In their spare time, Scielle enjoys video games, learning K-Pop choreography, taking naps with their dogs & cat, and having too many hobbies that they can’t keep up with (right now it’s wood working, painting, crochet, and ceramics). Their current focus is living in a way that fulfills their personal values.
